Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a good candidate for Regenerative Medicine?
We make it a priority at Infinity Health to spend time with the patient to ensure that they are a good candidate for Regenerative Medicine. There is certain criteria that needs to be met. We take about 45 minutes to an hour during the initial consultation to ensure that those criteria are met and that the patient is a good candidate for the procedure. This includes x-rays and a history intake and evaluation.
What are the risks of a joint injection?
The risk associated with Regenerative Medicine are very low and very rare. Just as with any injection where the skin is pierced, there is risk of local infection, but it is very rare. There is no rejection from the body since the body doesn’t recognize these as foreign proteins. This is a very low risk injection.
Is the procedure painful?
Outpatients are often pleasantly surprised at how quick and painless the procedure is. There is zero recovering time and you are able to drive yourself home and carry on your daily life.
What is the process of receiving Regenerative Medicine?
The process as a whole is very simple. Since this is a joint injection, instead of surgery, we are helping the body heal itself with the Regenerative Medicine. We spend about 45 minutes to an hour during the initial consultation to asses if the patient is a good candidate. This will include x-rays and a historical discussion. If the patient is a good candidate, then the procedure will be scheduled. The actual procedure is a quick outpatient injection and you are able to resume your daily activities immediately.
How long does it take to feel a difference?
The product has a very strong anti-inflammatory component to it; therefore, in the first week or two you will feel some relief. However, that is not the Regenerative Medicine part of the healing. The actual cell growth takes a couple of weeks. It is not uncommon for someone to feel the pain temporarily return and then they really start the healing process. Around three months is when patients typically start to feel a lasting difference.
Why choose Infinity Health?
Infinity Health was born out of seeing patients not being able to live their life to the highest quality. Many of them did not want to have to have an invasive surgery with a long road to recovery so they continued to live with chronic pain. We wanted to be able to offer something that would allow the body to heal itself and that is what Regenerative Medicine does.
